Checkout & Payment

The two-step checkout: shipping address and delivery method, then payment by card/UPI (Razorpay) or Cash on Delivery.

Checkout is two steps: your shipping details first, then payment. You need to be signed in or have entered guest details to reach checkout.

The checkout flow

Cart → Step 1: Shipping address + delivery option → Step 2: Payment → Order placed → Confirmation

Enter or choose a shipping address

If you're signed in and have saved addresses, pick one. Otherwise fill in your address — as you type your pincode, the store checks whether it can deliver there and shows an estimated delivery window.

Choose a delivery option

If the store has courier rate-shopping enabled, you'll see one or more delivery options with their cost, grouped by warehouse if your order ships from more than one location. Pick one per group; the shipping total updates to match. If you chose pick up in store on the cart page (see Cart & Wishlist), this step is replaced by a summary confirming the location you picked, and shipping cost is zero.

Review your order summary

The order summary panel shows every item, quantity, subtotal, shipping cost, any coupon discount, and the total you'll pay. If the store offers gift wrap, its toggle is here too — turn it on (and add a personal message, if the store allows it) right up until you pay; the fee, if any, is added to your total the moment you turn it on.

Choose a payment method

Pick online payment (card, UPI, netbanking, wallets — via Razorpay) or Cash on Delivery, if the store allows COD for your address. An optional shipping-insurance opt-in may appear here too.

Pay and confirm

For online payment, complete the Razorpay checkout window that opens. For COD, just confirm the order — nothing is charged online. Either way, you land on the order confirmation page once it succeeds.

Payment methods

MethodWhat happens
Card / UPI / netbanking / walletsHandled through Razorpay's secure checkout popup — you never enter card details on the store's own page
Cash on Delivery (COD)Pay the courier when your order arrives; only shown if the merchant has enabled it and your pincode supports it

Note

Online payment isn't guaranteed to be configured on every store — if it isn't, the checkout page only offers Cash on Delivery (where available).

Shipping insurance opt-in

On the payment step, some stores offer an optional checkbox: "Protect your order against loss/damage." It covers your order up to its declared value.

  • The surcharge is 1% of your cart total, with a minimum of ₹10 and a maximum of ₹50 — so it's ₹10 on anything under ₹1,000, and capped at ₹50 no matter how large the order.
  • Checking the box adds the surcharge as its own line item in your order summary immediately.
  • To make a claim on a lost or damaged shipment, open a support ticket with the merchant — there's no separate self-service claim form.

If payment fails or is interrupted

If your card is charged but the store's confirmation step doesn't complete right away (a network hiccup, for example), the checkout page shows a retry option rather than silently failing — use it before trying to pay again from scratch, so you don't get charged twice.

Don't close the payment window early

If you close the Razorpay window mid-payment, the checkout page shows an error and lets you try again. If you're ever unsure whether a payment went through, check My Orders for a newly-created order before retrying.

After you pay

You're taken to an order confirmation page showing your order number, items, and delivery address — or, for a pickup order, the location you're collecting from instead. From here you can go straight to tracking, or come back to it later from My Orders.
